Taking encouragement & support to Christian missionaries across Albania "Think of ways to encourage one another to outbursts of love and good deeds" Hebrews 10:24 NLT |

WHAT WE DO Our early overland visits were with medical aid (for their physical needs) and Christian literature (for their spiritual needs). We believe that God has given us TWO hands, so with one we reach out with physical aid and with the other with spiritual aid. Since the mid-nineties we have been taking less and less humanitarian aid, as the need has diminished, and more and more we've concentrated on taking encouragement parcels to missionaries on behalf of their family or friends. In addition we collect Albanian Christian literature from Germany and offer it to those missionaries and Albanian Christian leaders that we meet as we tour around the country delivering the encouragement parcels. As we have space, we take other items and have had the joy of supporting various ministries, including children's homes, clinics, a prison ministry, a Bible institute and a Torchbearer camp. We learnt from one of our early visits that it is best to allow the Lord to fill the vehicle. We had been given a suitcase and a sleeping bag, both in excellent condition, but as few Albanians were able to leave the country then, we wondered what the point was. We arrived to stay the night in one Albanian home and were told that their adult son had been chosen, with two others, to represent Albania for the first time at the bi-annual Christian Youth Congress in Utrecht, Holland. He had everything he needed ... except for a suitcase and a sleeping bag! In addition to the above, we are now specifically involved in supporting Donna Brady, a missionary from the UK, and the Timothy Foundation, which she has set up, to train children's workers. Further information regarding this is on the next page. |
